Groundwater lowering is a term which refers to controlling and regulating the groundwater level. It is necessary to conduct such local measures in a dry area.
The need to lower the water is due to having certain works that require operation in an area which is known to be saturated by groundwater. This creates difficultly in conducting underground operations as the water level can be higher than the intended work area.
The Belgian ‘Smet Group’ specializes in groundwater lowering through pumping and insertion. Project Pro was chosen to provide local general employees in light of previous work with them on the railway station in Tel Aviv (Galei Gil station).
