In the history of ‘Ísrael Railways’ this is one of the most significant on-going projects. During 2018 the first two electric train railway lines are expected to open. The first line is the express train fromTel Aviv to Jerusalem and the second one will be between Acre and Karmiel.
This challenging project includes electric conversion of 420 kilometers of existing and future railways, construction of passengers’ stations and construction of supervision and control systems needed for this electric project.
